It's been a quiet year on the music front for Brokehead, but that's not to say we haven't been busy in the studio. We've got a stream of new tracks getting worked on including "Posh Cannibals", all those tracks are being produced by Phex who's been busy with beats lately, so good things coming from that area. The Filthmongers "Dead Men Walking" EP is about ready to drop too, so if you like your dark shit you're gonna want to be over this like maggots on corpses. You can also check out the Filthmongers, Lapdance for the Devil Video in the Media area too. Mellow'd Elements are also working on some new tracks as we're having our nut done in doing the same tracks at every gig, so keep an ear out for that one. Bluhnt's still on the jazz tip, so he's going to be through recording for that project too.
4star and Barry on Safari rockin the MPCs
We're also working on a Plastic soul collaboration with DJs 4star and Barry on Safari. This will include live MPC production from 4star and Baz with vocals from the Mellow'd Elements. Gonna be lookin for some live gigs for this one so if you're looking for a slot to be filled, get on it, here's a little taster of the boys in action below,
Currently in production we have a number of debuts on Brokehead Productions. First Up is the debut release on Brokehead for founding members the Mellow'd Elements. "Restless Natives" will be the title for the first collection of their own brand of head nodding homegrown hip-hop. M.c's/Producers Spliffhabit and Stevie Lovebone are at this time putting together beats, ryhmes and guest verses from fellow underdogs in the hip hop scene. Watch this space for the latest on that one.
Out of the cage, veterans of the darkside the Filthmongers are also heads down at the moment moulding into shape the "Dead Men Walking EP". A tongue in cheek look at life through the eyes of two nasty bastards, General Black Heart (GBH) and Chocolate Chip Charlie are joined by Shit Fur Brainz and come at you with an unhealthy appetite for low rate horror movies and a need for the release of the thoughts from sick heads. Imagine the Wickerman meets Halloween, add a twist of hip hop, three big mouths and a deranged sense of humour.........."Thanks for the ride lady" Creepshow
